Expanding NFXF
Research Support

Meet Will!

Will participates in Fragile X research, because he and his family know behind every future treatment is a group of research participants that made it possible.

Your support today will help people like Will get the best treatment possible.

Help grow the Future of Fragile X research.

There is an urgent need for funding for research, so that we can continue to make progress in finding effective Fragile X treatments. Every potential treatment starts with research, research that isn't possible without willing participants like Will, and funds.

Your support today will ensure a strong future for research in Fragile X syndrome and the Fragile X-associated premutation conditions.

Help people like Will have the brightest possible future by donating today.

Enhance Our Mentorship Program

Our research award programs ensure students have a mentor who is an expert in the field of Fragile X, introduce young professionals to patient advocacy, and provide them a platform to present their research, all of which encourage these young professionals to want to “stay” in Fragile X.

In 2011 the NFXF began consistently offering research awards to young professionals through the Randi J. Hagerman Summer Scholars Program, and the NFXF Jr. Investigators Program, to advance research, provide mentorship opportunities for young professionals, and grow the next generation of Fragile X researchers and clinicians.

Watch a video below that highlights some of their recent research!

"Thank you NFXF for providing a platform to share my work and for supporting my aspirations of becoming a physician in academic medicine. I am so excited to continue working in the field of Fragile X among amazing mentors and leaders of their field!"
